Closed-form analytic solutions for dilogarithmic double integrals
This note presents techniques to analytically solve double integrals of the dilogarithmic type which are of great importance in the perturbative treatment of quantum-field theory. In our approach divergent integrals can be calculated similar to their convergent counterparts after identifying and isolating their singular parts.
متن کاملMolecular clock fork phylogenies: closed form analytic maximum likelihood solutions.
Maximum likelihood (ML) is increasingly used as an optimality criterion for selecting evolutionary trees, but finding the global optimum is a hard computational task. Because no general analytic solution is known, numeric techniques such as hill climbing or expectation maximization (EM) are used in order to find optimal parameters for a given tree. So far, analytic solutions were derived only f...
متن کاملFrom algebraic to analytic double product integrals
The algebraic theory of double product integrals and particularly its role in the quantisation of Lie bialgebras is described. When the underlying associative algebra is that of the Itô differentials of quantum stochastic calculus such product integrals are formally represented as operators which are infinite sums of iterated integrals in Fock space. In this paper we describe some of the analyt...
متن کاملClosed Form Solutions for Nonuniform Transmission Lines
In this paper, three analytic closed form solutions are introduced for arbitrary Nonuniform Transmission Lines (NTLs). The differential equations of NTLs are written in three suitable matrix equation forms, first. Then the matrix equations are solved to obtain the chain parameter matrix of NTLs. The obtained solutions are applicable to arbitrary lossy and dispersive NTLs. The validation of the ...
متن کاملClosed-Form Solutions for Robust Inventory Management
Copyright: © 2016 INFORMS Abstract. We propose and analyze robust optimization models of an inventory management problem, where cumulative purchase, inventory, and shortage costs over n periods are minimized for correlated nonidentically distributed demand. We assume that the means and covariance matrix of stochastic demand are known; the distributions are not needed. We derive closed-form orde...
